12 weeks or a Lifetime

Twelve weeks ago today, delegates from our organization were attending the first day of the NC Main Street conference in New Bern. We were taking notes and excitedly gathering ideas to share with our committee members back in Belmont. Our organization's work plan looked very different "way back then." Our biggest efforts focused on planning events, such as Friday Night Live, which aimed for attracting people in mass to downtown Belmont.

On that first day of the conference, NC declared a state of emergency due to COVID-19. From that point, much has changed, including our approach to supporting Downtown Belmont, but two things remain steadfast.
